Speaking skills

If you are looking for an activity to motivate your students to talk and share their thoughts, you've come to the right place!
Here I present you a really fun activity with which your students will have a great time while practising their speaking skills. It can be modified and adjusted for any age group.
As materials needed for the activity, you can get the Storycubes from a store or you can create your own with the vocabulary you want them to practice.
For the development of the activity, you should first divide the class into groups of 3-6 students each. Each of the students of a group will have the chance to throw a dice. Then, the group will have 5-10 minutes to make up a story using the items got on the dice. Allow them to use a paper and a pencil if they need to take notes to organize the story. After, they will share the story with the rest of the students. To complicate the activity, for advanced groups,you can ask the nest group to connect their story with the previous one.

ResponderEliminarThis activity is perfect. It allows to work with students of different ages and levels. I have some dices from tiger shop and is a fantastic resource for speaking and writing. Sometimes we ask our students to speak or write about something creative and they have a lot of trouble to start with an idea so, with this kind of activity we work creativity and make them to have quicker minds.
